For this print and installation artwork, I have chosen twenty sentences that have been said to me at some point, which have stayed with me as anchors of memorable moments.
Our memories constitute our history. When we analyze the link between memory and language, it is worth considering how language use influences how we store our knowledge and how we access it over time. On the same note, how we relate to events in our timeline and where they occurred can be seen as a subjective narrative that interacts deeply with the language we use.
This artwork has been exhibited at Made at MCAD (2017) at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, SooVAC + MCAD MFA, An Exhibition in Honor of Suzy Greenberg (2018) at SooVAC Gallery, and Selected Works, BIW Gallery, Edina (2018).
