Worlds Within Worlds is a visual collage based on communications shared between two writers over four years. The communications include letters, social media texts, essays, photos, and voice recordings produced in different contexts and with different purposes at the time. The recontextualization of these communications into pieces of poetry provides a glimpse of the ways we reveal ourselves to one another, creating bridges that become shared and deeply personal languages.
This installation was part of Latina/Latinx MN: Reclaiming Space in Times of Change, on view at the Catherine G. Murphy Gallery at the St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota, from September 7–December 8, 2024.
